Carrie Willbur
President, Co-Founder
Biking brings me joy, and assisting others in their riding journey makes me even happier—especially if I can do it while wearing purple. I co-founded WOW to provide a space where mountain biking is welcoming and fun rather than intimidating for women. My mission has been to build a community where women can develop their technical skills, grow their confidence, and find their tribe. Seeing riders thrive and surprise themselves is the most rewarding part of my role.

Amy Hall
Secretary
Amy’s journey into mountain biking began in 2024 during one of the inaugural WOW beginner clinics. She jumped in wholeheartedly—driven to test her limits, forge new connections, and gain the skills necessary to serve the cycling community.
Participating in WOW’s clinics and group rides helped Amy discover a love for the sport’s challenges and the boost in confidence that comes from achieving new goals. She also values the deep camaraderie found among riders who support one another.
As the secretary for WOW, Amy ensures the organization runs smoothly behind the scenes. When she isn't busy recording meeting minutes, you can find her riding trails across the Southeast, helping out with Catalyst Sports, rock climbing, or conquering a difficult uphill stretch.

Rina Zeller, Legal Counsel
Board Member, Co-Founder
Rina’s mountain biking journey began several years ago when her son joined the high school team and her husband volunteered as a coach. Looking for a family activity, she jumped right in and met fellow coaches Carrie and Brittany, discovering a love for the camaraderie, the ability to be outdoors and personal growth on the bike.
As a newer rider surrounded by experts, Rina became the voice of the beginner, asking the everyday questions participants need answered and keeping the team grounded when planning rides. As a co-founder and the club’s legal counsel, she now uses her background as an attorney to ensure WOW runs smoothly behind the scenes.

Jami Bassett
Board Member
Having moved frequently during her youth, Jami used sports and new activities to build connections and friendships. When her family relocated to Georgia for her husband's career, they fully embraced the outdoor lifestyle. When activity restrictions were lifted in 2020, the local youth mountain bike team offered the community her family was looking for. Jami is now a Level 3 coach and Team Director for her son's squad. She joined WOW seeking a relaxed environment focused on building solid foundational skills. She is the perfect riding partner if you enjoy a good photo op, a search for the "roaming gnome," or exploring creative new lines on the trail.

Kim Taaca
Kim has been a 2-wheel enthusiast her whole life. She learned how to ride a bike at a young age and then stepped away for many years to focus on ball sports, school, and her nursing career. After getting married, her husband Nolan introduced her to motorsports, and together they spent many years as motorcycle track riders and coaches.
She rediscovered bicycles as a way to cross train for the motorcycle season and as a strategy to endure long Chicago winters. After moving from the Midwest to Georgia in 2017, off-road cycling bit hard. Kim enjoys Georgia's year-round riding weather and rides "all the bikes" - MTB, gravel, and cyclocross with the occasional paved Silver Comet ride.
Kim loves seeing others enjoy cycling as much as she does. It brings her joy to help others, especially women and girls, conquer their fears about riding on dirt and over trail features. She encourages safe, fun skill progression as a way to build rider confidence.

Amanda Wilson
Registration Coordinator
Amanda has been playing in the woods and riding bikes since childhood, and she’s been mountain biking off and on since the mid‑90s. Originally from Alabama, she’s been married 32 years, has two grown sons, and stays active in Special Olympics sports with her autism family. Outdoor time is her nature therapy — especially with music in the background.
She jumped back into mountain biking when her son joined a team, started volunteering, and fell in love with the sport all over again. Carrie eventually grabbed her off the trail (because she was always there anyway), and WOW became her home. The encouragement from this group gives her courage on hard days and pushes her to try things she never thought she’d do. Watching riders build skills and tackle obstacles is a thrill — and WOW’s inclusive, fun, no‑judgment vibe is exactly why she loves being part of it.
